Job Requirements:
- Graduate S1 in Mineral Processing is essential along with significant experience within the mining industry in process sampling and testing of large tonnage (>140 KTPD) SAG operations. Demonstrated proficiency in continuous improvement techniques and previous leadership experience is vital for this role. Your experience in developing countries will set you apart from others. You will also have demonstrate a strong focus on safety, as well as the ability to develop productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and willingness to work in a developing country with a team from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
- This residential position will initially be based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia but will eventually transition to Oyu Tolgoi site on a Monday to Friday roster.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Manager Concentrator Technical Services, the Superintendent Analytical Services is responsible for managing the contract laboratory services for the collection of analytical data and maintain quality assurance and quality control of the plant.
- This leadership position will play an integral part in the design, support, and commissioning of the technical services infrastructure for a successful plant start-up. This role will also develop and mentor a world class sampling and testing team to ensure that the plant is optimally monitored to achieve budgeted throughput, recoveries and concentrate grades.
