JUNIOR EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor in Geology / Equivalent qualification.
- Have 3 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated ability to carry out successful field orientated exploration and drilling programmes for metalliferous minerals (gold, copper, base metals).
- Computer literacy with skills in Mapinfo/Discover or ArcView/ArcGIS highly regarded. Basic skills in Surfer, Autocad, Coreldraw regarded but not essential.
- Highly Developed Report writing skills and Leadership skills including demonstrated ability to give technical and other presentations to provincial authorities (Pemda, Kanwil Pertambangan, etc.) will be highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists and technical consultants.
- Basic knowledge of English language will be highly regarded.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Based at site in North Sumatera and This is a fly-in and fly-out position on a 4 weeks work at site and 2 weeks off
SENIOR GIS GEOLOGIST
Qualification & Experience:
- Have 10 years of relevant experience, 5 years of which included demonstrated ability to manage the GIS functions of successful field orientated exploration and drilling programmes targeting metalliferous minerals (gold, copper, base metals).
- Computer literacy with very high skills in Mapinfo/Discover, ArcView/ArcGIS and Micromine being essential. Skills in 3D modelling software such as Discover 3D and Micromine 3D will be very highly regarded though not essential. Basic skills in Surfer, Autocad, Coreldraw highly regarded but also not essential.
- Bachelor in Geology / Equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of sampling methodology, analytical techniques and a good knowledge of geology and past mineral exploration programmes.
- Thorough understanding of the principles and concepts of coordinate systems, data translations and data formats.
- Highly Developed Report writing skills and Leadership skills including demonstrated ability to give technical and other presentations to provincial authorities (Pemda, Kanwil Pertambangan, etc.).
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists and technical consultants.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of organizational and administrative skills as well as having good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of English language is essential.
- Based in Jakarta (required to travel to site in North Sumatera from time to time)
