Safety Officer (Contract Based)

Qualification:
- Have 8 years applicable experience in the HSE in major offshore oil and gas production platform projects and related facilities;
- MUST have working knowledge of applicable industry practices of and be conversant in HSE international standards and have worked on more than one(1) other project of smimilar size and type to the SMK1 & 2, EPSCI as an Offshore HSE Coordinator;
- Bachelor Degree S1 in an Engineering related field or a construction management degree;
- Be conversant in International Codes and Standards;
- Good team player, able to work independently and under pressure;
- Proactive, strong sense of responsibility, service orientation and good interpersonal skills;
- Contract duration: end Sep 2011 to mid April 2012
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementation of the CONTRACTOR'S and COMPANY'S HSE policy throughout the execution of the offshore part of the WORK including the Hook-up, the site pre-commissioning and the assistance to Company for the Commissioning;
- Preparation of documentation required by COMPANY specification as the Bridging document, Hazid, Kick off meeting and Pre-job meeting;
- Ensure COMPANY HSE performance targets are communicated to CONTRACTOR'S Project team and report performance to COMPANY as directed
- Ensure the performance of the offshore hook-up WORK complies with all relevant government and international legislation in occupational HSE aspects.
