OPERATION GEOLOGIST
Job Requirement :
- Have 4 years of related work experience in geophysics and petroleum engineering disciplines in the oil & gas industry
- Familiar with onshore/offshore drilling operations including well site duties, logging and log analysis
- Familiar with G&G software for well log (mud logging & electrical logging) reporting such as Gravitas
- Bachelor degree S1 or higher in Geology
- Proactive team player with good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills especially in influencing work of diverse groups involved
Job Description & Responbilty :
- Participate in technical bid preparation, evaluation, recommendation and award of contracts for mud-logging, electrical logging, coring and wellsite geologist services
- Manage and follow-up on the contracts with mud-logging, electrical logging, coring companies and wellsite geological services
- Coordinate and supervise all the geological work in the field
- Supervise geological contractors’ personnel and work, material and equipment, tool calibrations, quality and delivery of well data
- Control the final edition of the well implantation report, final geological report, mud-logs and composite logs
- Supervise the identification of formation tops, coring, casing points and well total depth
- Ensure good job performance in the geological data acquisition and validate execution of logging operations
- Validate raw log data and ensure that the data is properly acquired, labelled and indexed
- Control the organization and loading of geological digital data in different formats, maintain and update the well database by following corporate data management procedure
- Participate in implementing standards, procedures, guidelines and best practices for the geological well operations as well as ensure that all operations comply with HSE requirements and procedures
